Prostrate,  laxly caespitose herb, woody at base. Adventitious roots profuse.  Shoots densely leafy. Leaves up to 4 x 2 mm, obovate-oblanceolate to narrowly oblong, subacute, ± rough-hairy, particularly along margins. Stipules lanceolate, almost equalling leaves, at shoot tips exceeding them. Glomerules 10-12 mm, often crowded. Bracts ± rounded, concealing flowers. Flowers 2-2,5 mm, adpressed-pubescent. Sepals equal, oblong, ± obtuse, enclosing fruit. Styles divergent-recoiled at tips. Fl. 6-8. Rocky slopes, 1000-1500 m.
