Corm tunic membranous, splitting at base into coarse parallel fibres, or wholly and coarsely fibrous. Leaves 1-4, synanthous, 2-5 mm broad. Prophyll absent. Bracteole present, equal to or slightly smaller than bract. Throat of perianth yellow, glabrous or pubescent; segments 1.5-3.5 x 0.4-1.2 cm, obtuse to subacute, yellow to orange-yellow, outer ones sometimes striped or suffused brownish or purplish outside. Filaments 3-7 mm, yellow, glabrous; anthers 6-15 mm, yellow. Style dividing into 6-15 slender yellow to orange branches. 2n = 6.
