Corm tunics membranous or coriaceous, separating at base into horizontal rings of tissue. Leaves 3-6, synanthous, 0.5-1.5 mm broad. Prophyll absent. Bracteo1e present, subequal to bract. Throat of perianth yellow, glabrous or sparsely pubescent; segments 1.5-2.5 x 0.4-0.8 cm, obtuse or subacute, white or lilac-blue, yellow at base inside. Filaments 3-6 mm, yellow stained blackish at base, scabrid-pubescent in lower 1/2; anthers 6-7 mm, yellow. Style dividing into 3 slender orange branches. 2n = 28. Fl. 1-3. Short turf and bare places on low hills, 90-200 m.
