Differs from T. eigii by having flowering stems subterete with short recurved hairs all round or on two opposite sides only; calyx 6-8 mm, upper lip Iigulate-rectangular or narrowly ovate, hardly wider than tube, with lanceolate teeth 1.3-1.7 mm, long-ciliate. Fl. 6-7. Macchie, open Pinus brutia woodland, c. 70 m.
