Erect scapose perennial with a simple, woody caudex. Leaves 15-35 cm; leaflets 10-28 mm, obovate to broadly elliptic, with rounded or subcordate base, glabrous to villous, obtuse, retuse or subacute, 7-11-paired; stipules 12-20 mm, lanceolate. Peduncles 0.5-2 cm. Flowers pedicellate, in conferted, 4-8-flowered racemes. Bracts 6-8 mm, linear-lanceolate. Calyx 12-14 mm, tubular, glabrous or very sparsely villous; teeth 3-8 mm, linear to linear-lanceolate. Corolla yellow; standard 22-28 mm. Style glabrous. Legume 25-35 mm, oblong, glabrous to sparsely villous, sessile; beak c. 5 mm. Fl. 5-6.
