Herb to 65 cm, eglandular. Leaves with adpressed indumentum of minute stellate hairs, white-tomentose beneath, often glabrescent, lower cauline leaves linear-lanceolate, acute, tapering towards base, entire, 5-8 x 0.7-1 cm, petiole to 4 cm, Floral leaves similar but smaller, shortly petiolate or sessile, 2 x as long as verticillasters or longer. Verticillasters 6, remote, 4-6-flowered. Bracteoles minute, linear-lanceolate, 2-3 mm, densely stellate-tomentose. Calyx 12-16 mm, adpressed stellate-tomentose, teeth triangular, 1.5-2.5 mm long and broad, shortly acuminate. Corolla 27-30 mm, upper lip brownish, lower lip yellow. Nutlets glabrous. Fl. 6. Fallow fields, c. 1300 m.
