Glaucous perennial, laxly suffruticose at base. Stem ascending, 35-40 cm, crispate-pubescent; internodes 2-3 cm, upper ones 6-7 cm. Basal leaves linear-lanceolate, c. 50x 1-1,5 mm, acuminate, ciliate, shortly villose at base, apiculate. Inflorescense 1-2 flowered. Bracts to 8 mm, pedicels much shorter than or equalling calyx. Calyx campanulate-clavate, c. 35 x 10 mm, constricted around anthophore, conspicuously 10-veined, veins pinnately branched above; teeth broadly ovate, 2-3 mm, acute. Corolla longer than calyx appearently cream . Lamina of petals cuneate at base, c 10 mm, divided to 1/3, lobes broadly ovate, obtuse, minutely bidentate at base. Stamens shorter than petal limb. Style c. 10 mm, trifid, branches 2-3 mm. Anthophore 18-20 mm, glabrous. Capsule oblong-ovate, 13 x 7 mm, included in calyx, indurated. Seeds reniform, flattened, reticulate-foveolate. Fl. 7. Alt. c.1850 m.
