Erect or ascending annual, 30-40 cm. Leaflets 1-2 cm, obovate to rhombic; stipules 1-2 cm, herbaceous, lanceolate-acuminate from a triangular base, not sheathing. Inflorescence umbellate, broadly ovoid becoming globular, 2-3 cm diam., 20-30-flowered, peduncles longer than the subtending leaves. Bracts c. ½ as long as the pedicels. Flowers pale pink, pedicels longer than the calyx tube. Calyx 5-6 mm, 10-nerved; teeth c. 4 mm, setaceous, ± equal. Corolla 10-13 mm, standard longer than the wings. Legume ovate-oblong, stipitate, 3-seeded. Fl. 5. Fields and waste places.
